CLP-CYLC recently presented at the NCORE (National Conference on Race & Ethnicity in Higher Education) Conference in Portland Oregon. Sean Crossland from Utah Valley College and Angélica Esquivel, Brenda Carrillo, and Shaia Ramos from DeAnza College presented on: “Equity, Democracy, and Justice at a Community College: A Community Organizing Approach to Institutional Transformation.” Over 100 people attended the session and engaged in discussion around what it takes to effect transformation toward more healthy, humane, and sustainable institutions of higher education.
