Ken Rolling

Ken-RollingBoard of Directors & Executive Director.  Ken Rolling brings over forty years of engagement in U.S. and international social justice work, community organizing, and public school reform to the Community Learning Partnership. He is excited to be establishing CLP’s Community Change Studies programs across the country to provide opportunities for low-income and students of color to enter change careers. Over the course of his career he was Associate Director of the Woods Fund of Chicago where he developed the Fund’s community organizing and public school reform programs; Executive Director of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, the largest privately-funded school reform effort in Chicago (President Barack Obama was the founding chair of CAC); National Executive Director of Parents for Public School (PPS), a Jackson, Mississippi-based national network of parents engaged in public school reform; and Administrative Director of the Citizen/Labor Energy Coalition.  Ken serves on the boards of the Needmor Fund, a foundation based in Toledo, Ohio that supports community organizing, and Changing Worlds, a Chicago organization fostering inclusive communities and cross-cultural understanding through oral history writing and art programs. Ken is married and lives in Evanston, Illinois. He has two grown children.
